Pokémon Scarlet and Violet introduce a new region full of new Pokémon, characters, challenges, and more. This includes a new enemy team and its members. One of these is Mela, but this may leave you wondering who Mela is in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Mela is theleaderofTeam Star’sFire Crew, called the Schedar Squad, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Team Star is the rival team and is comprised of rebellious students. Mela can be seen in the Seek Your Treasure trailer forPokémon Scarlet and Violetbattling atop a large truck with her Torkoal.
Mela is considered the team’s bestall-arounderand capable of handling anything that comes her way. She does have a reputation as beingforceful and gruff, as well as having heavy-handed methods. But she shows fierce determination to complete anything she puts her mind to.

Who is Team Star’s Fire Crew in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
Team Star is broken down intosmaller crews, a first for the Pokémon series. Mela is the leader of the Team Star Fire Crew, whichspecializesinfire-typePokémon. The uniform color of Team Star’s members appears to change depending on which crew they are a part of, with Fire Crew sportingorange.
The trailer also showed Team Star members wearing blue, suggesting allegiance to the Water Crew. But we know for sure that Fire Crew will be in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and that they will be bringing the heat.
