It’s no secret that nearly everything in Rune Factory 5 is either too expensive or not available without an expansion from Studio Palmer. This is why it helps to craft your own weapons, tools, armors, accessories, and more. However, each item needs specific materials to be made. A common one areSharp Claws. Here’s where to find some.
How to get Sharp Claws
Sharp Claws are dropped byGoblin Pirates. Goblin Pirates can be found in two places:Atohl’s Endin the Kelve Volcanic Region and theBandit King’s Old Basein Phoros Woodlands. If you don’t have access to any of these locations yet, move the story forward. Atohl’s End can be visited before Bandit King’s Old Base, though the latter will have more Goblin Pirates.

The drop rate of Sharp Claws are very, very low (3%). You’re more likely to get goblin cloths. Sharp Claws are not produce items either and cannot be spawned by tamed monsters. When used as an upgrade item, Sharp Claws can add +18 to your weapon’s attack. It can be sold for 1,000G.
