It was that time once again for Bungie to hold a vote for the Festival of Lost 2022 Armor. This was the second time ever that the developers allowed the community to vote on which Armor set will be featured. After a week of fans submitting their votes, the results are in and the community has spoken. Team Mechs has seized the day.
It was announced on the officialDestiny 2 Twitter accountthatMechs have taken the victory crown. In a vote that lasted from April 7 to April 13, thousands submitted their input on the decision. However, in the end, the Mechs proved victorious. Though there was only a small difference in votes, with52 percentin favor of Mechs and48 percentin favor of Monsters.

Many fans could have predicted this outcome, as the Mech armor seemed to provide the best overall armor set for every class. Thehighly stylized armor with fantastic shader potentialseized the hearts of many. The Monster Armor’s downfall was most likely the divisive designs for certain classes. Many fans stated that the Titan and Warlock armor sets didn’t hold a candle to the Hunter’s interesting Godzilla-inspired set. This is likely the reason the Mech armor was able to come out on top.
These votes are tons of fun for the community and help to build a collaborative relationship between the developers and the fans. It will be exciting to see if Bungie decides to continue doing things like this in the future.
