To celebrate the end of Pokémon Go’s Season of Alola Celebration, fans can participate in new Special Research tasks. This set of Special Research is a bit different than past events, as players will have the ability to choose which path they proceed down. The path that players choose will have an effect on the tasks and rewards that they receive throughout the end-of-season celebration.
Akala Island Rewards
Trainers who enjoy the adventure and exploration in Pokémon Go should choose the Akala Island path. This path will task players with moving around their area and completing a certain amount of kilometers or spinning a certain number of PokéStops.

Poni Island Rewards
Battle-heavy trainers will enjoy the Poni Island quest path. Players that choose this path will have to battle other trainers in the GO Battle League and defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders, along with other battle-based tasks.
Ula’Ula Island Rewards
