The latest Valorant Patch 4.08 brought forth a much-needed nerf for Jett, who is undoubtedly one of the highest-picked Duelists in the game. The developers informed players that Jett’s impact on the game has pushed beyond the core tactical system and required adjustment.

Jett’s Tailwind ability allowed her to dash in and out of areas and was often used to escape tight situations unpunished. The developers sought to change this by including a timer for this ability. Players will now activate a12-second windowafter pressing Tailwind’s ability key, and this will allow Jett to immediately dash with the next key input.

We love what Jett brings to the roster, but some of her impacts on the game have pushed beyond VALORANT’s core tactical cycle in worrisome ways. So, we’re adjusting her Tailwind in Patch 4.08 to address this concern.Read more on these changes:https://t.co/Pkvj4eRUAepic.twitter.com/iuWSWRAjcs

Similarly, theTailwind charge will be lostregardless of whether Jett dashes in or not. However, players will have the option to regain the charge by gettingtwo killsin a round. These changes are aimed to make players use Jett’s Tailwind strategically. While the ability will remain one of the quickest escape utilities in Valorant, Jett players will have to be more decisive while using it.

The 12-second window will signal teammates to aid Jett before the Agent dashes in or out of a situation. Riot Games informed that these changes are meant to retain Jett’s aggressive prowess during attacking rounds while reducing her defensive OP gameplay.
