As it is published by Xbox Game Studios, Forza Horizon 5 has a complicated release structure. It is available on Xbox and PC, with PC covering both Steam and the Xbox PC app. For those with Game Pass Ultimate, Horizon is also available as part of the monthly subscription. With its first DLC, Hot Wheels, having launched, there are some wondering if that too is bundled in with Game Pass.
All Hot Wheels Expansion Upgrade Options
While the base game of Forza Horizon 5 may be included with Xbox Game Pass, theHot Wheels expansion is notandmust be purchased separately. This can be done through Steam or the Microsoft Store, depending on where the base game was initially purchased.
There are four options to consider when purchasing theHot Wheels expansion. For those who only plan on playing as part of the Game Pass subscription, the only option we won’t recommend is the Premium Edition, as it includes the base game.
