As a builder in My Time at Sandrock, you will need to gather a lot of material to meet the requests of the townsfolk and complete commissions. You will also need to use several machines. You need many resources, especially for later recipes, that can be found in Abandoned Ruins. This may leave you wondering how to unlock and get into the Abandoned Ruins.
Early on in My Time at Sandrock,Rocky and Yan will commission youto build a crane lift for the Eufaula Salvage Yard. Once you complete this quest, Rocky will grant you access to the Abandoned Ruins.

How to get into the Abandoned Ruins
After completing this quest and unlocking the Abandoned Ruins, you may enter them through theEufaula Salvage Yard. Take the lift that you just completed, and you will descend to the bottom. There will be a gapingcavethat you can enter. This will take you to the Abandoned Ruins. You will need to pay the200 Golto get into the Eufaula Salvage Yard, but this grants you access to the salvage yard and the Abandoned Ruins. Just make sure you get your money’s worth.
How to use the Relic Scanner
An important tool you will need inside the Abandoned Ruins is theRelic Scanner. All you have to do to use it is press theFkey. This will turn on your Relic Scanner and pinpoint the location of Relics. You will see yellow and purple dots—yellowshows where the Relics are whilepurpleshows you that you the way deeper into the Ruins.
