The Discarded Insignia is the first part of a World Questline called The Scattered Past, which takes place in the Golden Apple Archipelago. Due to being in an event-exclusive area, this World Quest can only be done fromJuly 15, 2022, to Jun 02, 2025. How to unlock The Discarded Insignia World Quest in Genshin Impact
To unlock this World Quest, you first need to finish the entire Golden Apple Archipelago Event Questline, which ends at part six:Like Rhyme and Song, the Summer Reverie. Once that’s done, head to the Minacious Isle and change the island’s topography using thePlace in Water feature. ensure to switch to thepresent Minacious Isle.
How to complete The Discarded Insignia World Quest in Genshin Impact
Assuming that you’ve switched the Minacious Isle’s layout to the present version of the island, head to the area circled in the image above to find a clearing with Elemental Monuments. Apply Anemo onto theAnemo Monumentto create awind current. Use the wind current to propel you upward, then glide down to the location of theElectrohammer Vanguard.

There should be a blue exclamation mark above the Electrohammer Vanguard’s head, indicating that he has a World Quest for you. If you don’t see the mark, then you might have missed a prerequisite. Speak to the Electrohammer Vanguard, and he’ll ask for a Quest Item calledOld Insignia.
Check your Quest Item Inventory as you might have already picked up the item while exploring Pudding Isle. If not, head to the beach in the southern area ofPudding Isle(any map layout) to find a glowing Investigate spot.Interactwith it to pick up the Old Insignia. Once you have the Old Insignia, head back to the Electrohammer Vanguard’s location and give it to him.
Next, he will ask you to find a way to open a path that Yakov took. To do so, glide down to the clearing with the Elemental Monuments. You need to activate the Elemental Monuments in thisexact order:
verify that none of the Monuments are activatedbeforestarting the puzzle. If any of them already are, you can reset the puzzle by randomly activating them all, then trying again.
After solving the puzzle, a portal will appear in the sky. Use theAnemo Monumentto create awind currentto propel yourself to the portal. Once you’re through, speak withChevka, then follow the quest marker to speak toYakov, completing this World Quest.
If you haven’t already completedThe Misplaced Photo, you’ll get a prompt to head to the Broken Isle. If you already have, you’ll get a prompt for the last part of the questline:The Misplaced Conch.
