Rainbow Pets: What you need to know

Farming for Epic or Legendary pets
In order to make a Golden pet, you’ll needthreeof the same kind of Shiny pet first, meaning you’ll need at least 12 dispensable Epic or Legendary pets in total. Epics and Legendaries have a low chance of spawning from a variety of eggs, so you can realistically farm any egg that you’d like, regardless of price. In this guide, we’ll be farming theFrozen Arctic Egg.
Once you’ve found the egg that you want to farm and have selected the pet that you want to turn Golden, it’s time to begin hatching. If you’d prefer to speed up the monotonous process of opening each egg one by one, there are gamepasses that you can purchase that allow you toopen three eggs at a timeorauto-hatch any eggthat you receive. Purchasing both of these gamepasses will cost around1,000 Robux.
Creating Shiny pets
Now that you’ve farmed 12 of your chosen pets, it’s time to make them Shiny. To do this, open thePetsmenu by selecting thepaw-print iconon the left-hand side of your screen. With the Pets menu open, select one of the Epic pets that you plan to transform. If you have the correct number of pets, a button should appear that saysShiny (4/4). Click this button.

Creating Golden pets
After repeating this process twice, creating three Shiny Epic pets, you’re ready to make a Golden pet. To do this, open the Pet menu once more, locate one of your three Shiny Epic pets, and select theGolden (3/3)button. Upon doing so, your three pets will be transformed into one Golden Epic pet!

Creating Rainbow Pets
Unlike Shiny and Golden pets, Rainbow pets do not require a certain quantity to create. Instead, players looking to make Rainbow pets will need at least one Golden pet and access to a Rainbow Machine. These machines, pictured below, can be found on various islands and do not require any form of payment to use.
To interact with the Rainbow Machine, simply walk into theblue circlein front of it—this will open the Rainbow Machine menu. From this menu, select any Golden pets that you want to transform—the more pets of the same species that you select, the less time the process will take to complete. If you don’t want to wait at all, you can skip the countdown timer all together by paying a hefty amount of Robux.
After inputting any number of pets and waiting the corresponding length of time, your Rainbow pet(s) will be ready to claim!
