Kamisato Ayato’s first Story Quest, the Cypressus Custos Chapter Act I: The Firmiana Leaf Falls, is divided into three segments. The second is called The Truth Is Also a Lie, and it involves rescuing Shinnojou from Matsuura’s clutches.
After defeating the Kanjou Commission officers inside the cave, you need to find the key to the cage housing Shinnojou. It was stolen by a bake-danuki. Track down the crafty creature to complete this part of the quest.
How to Chase the Bake-Danuki
You need to chase the bake-danuki by searching for all of its hiding spots. Its first position is locatedbeside a torchby the entrance of the cave. Approach it to prompt it to run away.
After, you’ll find a suspiciouspile of rocks beside Shinnoujou’s cage. Break the pile of rocks using Geo Damage or a claymore to reveal the bake-danuki. It will promptly run away once again.
The bake-danuki’s next hiding spot is in one of thecratesin the cave. Break all of them to expose the bake-danuki. It will then run to theshrineat the right. Catch up to it to reveal a glowing Investigate spot, which you need to interact with to obtain the Wooden Cage Key to free Shinnojou.
