When Season 2 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone are about to conclude, the developers have finally introduced the melee weapon, which was promised in the seasonal roadmap. Players can equip the Ice Axe to their loadout after unlocking it in their weapon inventory.
How to unlock the Ice Axe in Vanguard
The melee can be obtained by completing an unlock challenge in either Multiplayer or Zombies.
The challenge is pretty straightforward in Multiplayer. Equip the Throwing Knife as your lethal equipment and get into a game of Team Deathmatch on Shipment. you may easily get three kills in one match, but verify to complete the session else, the progress will not register. You can also get the weapon instantly by purchasing the Ice Breaker bundle from the CoD Store.

Since Sturmkriegers aren’t that easy to kill, let alone you have to kill 50 of them, the challenge can be completed much faster in Vanguard Multiplayer. Regardless, you can shoot the Sturmkriegers until they have just a sliver of health left and then use your melee for your final blow to make the mission easier.
The in-game description for the Ice Axe reads, “A handy climbing implement that has combat use as both a melee or thrown weapon.” As such, you can swing it like the FS Fighting Knife to take out enemies right next to you, and you can also aim and throw the axe to eliminate a distant enemy.
