Malachite Ore is one of the basic materials in Monster Hunter Rise, available from Low Rank quests, but it’s still highly sought after. That’s because it’s used in dozens of blueprints for Weapons and Armors. Here’s how to find Malachite Ore and the best ways to farm it in MH Rise.
Best place to find Malachite Ore in MHR
TheLava Caverns are the best place to mineMalachite Orebecause of the high level ofMining Outcropsproviding the best pathing route available. With 12 total outcrops you may gather from, you’re able to fully mine the entire stage and then circle back and mine again with the outcrops respawned.

Best Malachite Ore Lava Caverns farming route
The best route for farming Malachite Ore in the Lava Caverns is to start out in Area 1, and head East to Area 4, continuing to Area 5. These are your first three Mining Outcrops. From there, continue to Area 12, 10, 9, and then 7. This path will lead you past a further five Mining Outcrops. Finally head up to the top corner of Area 11 to farm the final four outcrops, then return to the camp and start again.
Farming Malachite Ore in Other Locales
Malachite Ore can also be found in theSandy PlainsandFlooded Forestwith high frequency, but these locales do not have as well optimized a mining path. This means it’s best to just gather opportunistically on them. TheShrine Ruinsalso have some mining outcrops that will drop Malachite Ore, andRock Lizardswill occasionally drop Malachite Ore as loot.
