No,you don’t need an active Xbox Live Gold subscriptionto play Call of Duty: Warzone or any other free-to-play online game, such as Apex Legends, Warframe, or Fortnite. Previously, Xbox players needed Xbox Live Gold to play multiplayer games. However, Microsoft removed the requirement of this subscription model for free online games in early 2021.
