Commendations are the achievement system within Sea of Thieves. They are awarded to players after certain requirements are fulfilled. Some commendations will award titles or cosmetics, while others will gift Doubloons to the player. It’s a fun way to track in-game progress and show off all that has been achieved while sailing the high seas.
When looking at what makes a good commendation, we’re concerned with whether they unlock something like a title or cosmetic and how prestigious or iconic it is. This could come from the difficulty in acquiring it to how it embodies the spirit of Sea of Thieves.
